Cookie Policy

Last Updated: April 03, 2026

Privacy Policy
Cookies

Thank you for visiting https://www.prophetsecurity.ai (the "Sites") owned and operated by Prophet Security, Inc. ("Prophet Security," "we" and "us"). This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies when you access or use our Sites and services ("Services"). This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy (located at: https://www.prophetsecurity.ai/privacy-policy), which describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal data more broadly. Capitalized terms used but not defined in this Cookie Policy have their meaning set forth in our Privacy Policy or our Terms of Service (located at: https://www.prophetsecurity.ai/bd-msa-3e29f).

As we continually work to improve our Services, we may need to change this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will alert you of material changes by placing a notice on the Prophet Security website, by sending you an email and/or by some other means. Please note that if you've opted not to receive legal notice emails from us (or you haven't provided us with your email address), those legal notices will still govern your use of the Services, and you are still responsible for reading and understanding them. If you use the Services after any changes to the Cookie Policy have been posted, that means you agree to all of the changes.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Services use cookies and similar technologies such as pixel tags, web beacons, clear GIFs, JavaScript, and local storage (collectively, "Cookies") to enable our servers to recognize your web browser, tell us how and when you visit and use our Services, analyze trends, learn about our user base and operate and improve our Services. Cookies and similar technologies might be used by our online data partners or vendors to associate these activities with other personal information they or others have about you, including by association with your email. We may then send communications and marketing to these email addresses. You may opt out of receiving this advertising by visiting https://www.vector.co/opt-out.

Cookies are small pieces of data– usually text files – placed on your computer, tablet, phone or similar device when you use that device to access our Services. We may also supplement the information we collect from you with information received from third parties, including third parties that have placed their own Cookies on your device(s). In addition to traditional cookies, our Services may also use local storage and session storage technologies in your browser to store small amounts of data locally on your device for similar purposes.

Please note that because of our use of Cookies, the Services do not support "Do Not Track" requests sent from a browser at this time. However, we do support the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, which allows you to communicate your privacy preferences through your browser settings.

Types of Cookies We Use

We use the following types of Cookies:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies. Strictly Necessary Cookies are required for providing you with features or services that you have requested and for the basic operation of our Services. These Cookies cannot be disabled through our cookie consent preferences as the Services cannot function properly without them. They include cookies used to distinguish between humans and automated bots (such as Cloudflare's __cf_bm cookies used across our service providers), cookies that store your cookie consent preferences (such as CookieScript's CookieScriptConsent cookie), and cookies required for the proper functioning of third-party integrations embedded in our Services (such as LinkedIn's li_gc and lidc cookies). Disabling these Cookies may make certain features and services unavailable.
  • Performance Cookies. Performance Cookies allow us to understand how visitors use our Services. They do this by collecting information about the number of visitors to the Services, what pages visitors view on our Services and how long visitors are viewing pages on the Services. Performance Cookies also help us measure the performance of our advertising campaigns in order to help us improve our campaigns and the Services' content for those who engage with our advertising. We use the following performance-related services:
    • Google Analytics. Google LLC ("Google") uses cookies (such as _ga and _ga_0ZFRSGPRG1) in connection with its Google Analytics services to collect information about how you use our Services. Google's ability to use and disclose information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to the Services is subject to the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy. You have the option to opt-out of Google's use of Cookies by visiting the Google advertising opt-out page at www.google.com/privacy_ads.html or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/.
    • Visual Website Optimizer (VWO). We use VWO cookies (such as _vwo_uuid, _vwo_uuid_v2, _vwo_ds, _vwo_sn, _vis_opt_s, and _vis_opt_test_cookie) to conduct A/B testing and measure the performance of different versions of web pages to improve your experience on our Services.
    • HubSpot Analytics. We use HubSpot cookies (such as __hstc, __hssc, and __hssrc) for website analytics, including tracking how visitors interact with our Services over time.
  • Targeting Cookies. Targeting Cookies are used to identify visitors across websites and to display advertisements that are relevant and engaging for individual users. These Cookies track your browsing activity across different sites to build a profile of your interests and show you targeted advertising. We use the following targeting-related services:
    • Google Ads and DoubleClick. Google uses cookies (such as _gcl_au and IDE) for advertising purposes, including measuring the effectiveness of ads displayed to you and serving interest-based advertising.
    • Reddit. Reddit uses cookies (such as _rdt_uuid) to identify browsers over time and show relevant advertisements based on your preferences and behavior across multiple sites.
    • LinkedIn. LinkedIn uses cookies (such as bcookie) for sharing content via social media and for advertising purposes.
  • Functionality Cookies. Functionality Cookies are used to record your choices and settings regarding our Services, maintain your preferences over time and recognize you when you return to our Services. These Cookies help us to personalize our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region). We use HubSpot's hubspotutk cookie for user authentication and session management, as well as Cloudflare's _cfuvid cookies for maintaining session consistency across our service provider integrations.
  • Unclassified Cookies. Some cookies on our Services are in the process of being classified. These include cookies set by Retention.com/RB2B (such as _reb2bgeo, _reb2bloaded, and _reb2bsessionID) used for visitor identification purposes, and VWO experiment tracking cookies (such as _vis_opt_exp_*_combi) used to record which version of a page you have been shown during A/B testing. As we classify these cookies, we will update this Cookie Policy accordingly.

Your Choices Regarding Cookies

When you first visit our Services, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept all cookies, customize your selection by category, or decline non-essential cookies. You can revisit your cookie preferences at any time by accessing your cookie management settings on our website.

You can also decide whether or not to accept Cookies through your internet browser's settings. Most browsers have an option for turning off the Cookie feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new Cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allow you to decide on acceptance of each new Cookie in a variety of ways. You can also delete all Cookies that are already on your device. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit our website and some of the Services and functionalities may not work.

To find out more information about Cookies generally, including information about how to manage and delete Cookies, please visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org/ or https://ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies/ if you are located in the European Union.
