Prophet Security Heralds the Future of AI-Driven Investigation and Response

Gartner predicts that security operations centers will have 50% more engineers than analysts by 2028 as AI agents take over routine alert handling. Prophet Security examines how AI is reshaping SOC roles, from analyst responsibilities and detection engineering to threat hunting and exposure management.

Assess AI SOC readiness with checks for data access, investigation standards, baseline metrics, human approvals, and detection coverage.

Identity was the target in roughly half of all confirmed malicious activity. Prophet Security breaks down the four main attack patterns seen across customer environments between May and July 2026, and explains why some attacks succeeded while others were blocked.

A practical guide to evaluating AI SOC agents using Gartner’s key questions on outcomes, workload, autonomy, integration, and risk.

Prophet Security says 40% of teams use AI daily, while 28% of alerts go uninvestigated and 60% report missed alerts caused serious issues.

Choosing an AI SOC platform requires understanding how it will perform in your own environment, not just during an evaluation. Prophet Security shares a practical framework for assessing AI SOC solutions, including how to validate accuracy, operating models, long-term reliability, and production readiness.

Looking for managed detection response alternatives? Learn how AI SOC platforms improve threat detection, investigations, and response.

Attackers move faster than overwhelmed SOC teams can realistically investigate alerts. Prophet Security breaks down how AI can help analysts investigate alerts faster and focus on real threats.

Here's a sharper definition of what AI SOC platforms can do today and what they cannot, and how to evaluate these platforms for better business.

Organizations are taking differing approaches in how they evaluate AI integration within security operations.

The industry has spent years acknowledging that there are not enough skilled analysts to meet demand.
